A New Oblate Mission: Ecuador!

In response to the orientations of the 37th General Chapter, the Oblate Province of Brazil has joyfully accepted the Congregation’s new mission in Ecuador, strengthening the presence of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Latin America.

As part of the process of discernment and preparation, a second visit to Ecuador recently took place, providing an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the reality of this new mission and to strengthen ties with the local Church and the Ecuadorian people.
Participating in the visit were Fr. Antonio Pereira, OMI, Provincial of Brazil; Fr. Ednaldo, OMI, Provincial Treasurer; and Fr. Jassiel, OMI, who has been appointed to this new missionary endeavor.

May the Holy Spirit guide this new chapter, and through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, may this missionary presence become a sign of hope, fraternity, and evangelization among the people of Ecuador. Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, called to proclaim the Gospel wherever the Church sends us.
