Sacred Fire Prayer Vigil
March 28 to April 1, 2022

PRAYING FOR THE FIRST NATIONS, METIS AND INUIT DELEGATIONS AS THEY MEET WITH POPE FRANCIS IN ROME, MARCH 28 – APRIL 1, 2022

You are invited to gather at a Sacred Fire on the grounds of Galilee Centre on the territory of the Algonquin Peoples to stand in prayerful solidarity with the Indigenous elders, youth and leaders meeting with the Holy Father between March 28 and April 1, 2022. We will be gathering through the week under the guidance of elders and teachers from the Kateri Native Ministry. You are welcome to join the vigil, according to your own schedule, to pray together that this meeting between Pope Francis and the Inuit, Metis and First Nations delegates will be a true encounter, that will encourage and strengthen us all on our collective journey toward reconciliation.

There is no cost to attend vigil or any of the ceremonies. Good will offerings are always appreciated. Lunch will be provided on Monday, Thursday and Friday on a pay-as-you can basis.
