“Live Free” and choose life

In Naujaat, Nunavut, for the past few years, Fr. Daniel Szwarc, OMI has encouraged the young people to reflect on the tragedy of drug use and the high suicide rate in Nunavut to help the youth to make better choices and support those suffering from depression and lack of hope. He has engaged the youth in creating media to get the message out: “Live Free” and choose life. He has promoted a contest for the best video’s with significant prizes to encourage participation. These are a few very creative results to facilitate discussion about suicide.
