Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor Synodal Conversations
During this Season of Creation (Sept 1-Oct 4), we invite you to plan and facilitate a Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor Synodal Conversation to support building a future together that responds to these cries of our time in the light of the Gospel. Together, we can continue to uplift these cries and build a Catholic community of action to address the environmental crisis and the needs of our brothers and sisters.

WHY SYNODAL CONVERSATIONS?
Building on the momentum of the 2025 Pilgrimages of Hope for Creation, Catholic organizations across the nation want to build on that momentum and dive deeper into both integral human development and contribute to the ongoing Synod on Synodality program of the global Church.
Findings from these listening sessions will contribute to this ongoing process and give voice to particular communities underrepresented in the Synodal documents from 2025: young people, immigrants, and people in poverty.
These findings will also be sent to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for their inclusion in the next round of conversations under Pope Leo XIV.
