A Logo that Speaks of Mission, Memory, and Hope

To mark the 200th anniversary of the Constitutions and Rules, a commemorative logo has been designed, rich in symbolism and deeply rooted in the Oblate spirit. Each element has been carefully crafted to express a layered narrative of history, spirituality, and forward-looking vision.

1. “200 Years”: A Milestone Made Visible
The number “200” is the most immediate visual cue, announcing the bicentennial celebration with clarity and prominence. It invites reflection on two centuries of missionary presence and fidelity to the Rule.

2. The Central “0”: The World at the Heart
The central zero becomes a globe, a symbol of the universal reach of the Oblate mission. It is divided into three meaningful sections:
• Upper section: The largest portion contains our Constitutions and Rules, its pages in dynamic motion, representing a living and evolving Rule that continues to guide the Congregation.
• Lower sections: Two equal parts enclose sacred symbols:
• The Madonna of the Smile, evoking comfort, tenderness, and hope.
• Jesus Christ crucified, heart of the Oblates and source of missionary zeal.

3. The Final “0”: Open to the Future
The last zero is intentionally left partially open — a subtle yet powerful gesture toward the future. It suggests openness, growth, and the ongoing journey of the Oblate family.

4. The Inscription: “CONSTITUTIONS AND RULES 1826–2026”
This text reinforces the anniversary theme and provides a clear historical framework. It anchors the celebration in time while pointing to the enduring relevance of the Rule.

5. In Dialogue with the International OMI Logo
The commemorative design is placed alongside the international OMI logo, affirming unity and shared identity across the global Oblate community.

6. Colors of Meaning: Green, Gold, and White
The chosen palette reflects the spiritual and aesthetic depth of the Oblate tradition:
• Green: Life, mission, and renewal
• Gold: Celebration, dignity, and legacy
• White: Purity, light, and hope

This logo is not merely a graphic, it is a visual proclamation of faith, memory, and mission. It honors the past, celebrates the present, and opens the door to a future filled with hope.
