In the Spirit of Eugene
Weekly Reflection on the CCRR
Dear Oblates and Oblate Associates,
On February 17, 2026, we will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Church’s approval of our Constitutions and Rules – a grace-filled moment for our entire Congregation and for the Church. To mark this occasion well, we want to prepare thoughtfully: personally, in our local communities, and as a Province. A small committee will accompany and guide these preparations and the celebrations.
To support your prayer and reflection, we will be sharing a brief weekly reflection on the CCRR, entitled In the Spirit of Eugene. Each reflection will include:
- one or two articles from the Constitutions and Rules,
- a related Scripture passage,
- a short quotation from St. Eugene, and
- a few questions for personal prayer and community sharing.
These resources are meant to be simple and practical – tools for renewal rather than lengthy documents. You are invited to use them as you wish: for personal meditation, during community meetings, or weekly faith-sharing in your local community.

We will continue to keep you informed about the committee’s work and the plans for the celebrations. Thank you for making space for this journey of renewal. May the CCRR once again light our way and strengthen our communion and mission.
“Let us renew ourselves in the spirit of our vocation.”
