JPIC Committee Meets in Rome
The General Service for Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (GS-JPIC) holds its annual assembly from November 3-7, 2025, at the OMI General House in Rome.
This important gathering continues the implementation of the mandate from the last General Chapter, with particular attention to the Church’s call in Laudato si’ to care for our common home (cf. Mandates and Recommendations of the 37th General Chapter, V. F.).
The meeting will focus on:
• Promoting discernment on proposals raised during the Interchapter.
• Evaluating and strengthening the JPIC animation program in service to the entire Oblate congregation.
• Deepening oblates’ commitment to the values of justice, peace, and ecological integrity in mission.
The GS-JPIC Committee is composed of:
• Jean-Hérick Jasmin, Director
• Raymond Mwangala, Assistant General for Mission
• Daniel LeBlanc, Representative to the UN, VIVAT International, and JCOR
• Ramesh Yacopu
• Daquin Iyo Iyan
• Jim Brobst, Liaison to the Central Government
This meeting is not only a time for planning and evaluation, but also a moment of spiritual renewal and communal discernment. As the committee gathers, we invite all members of the Oblate family to accompany them in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to guide their reflections and decisions.
We count on your prayers.
