SPN Festival of Faith
Dear Mazedonian Family,
I am delighted to share information about the Summer Festival of Faith, taking place here in Saskatoon this July. Conceived by Fr. Doug Jeffrey, OMI, the inaugural Festival in 2025 was a testament that the Charism of St. Eugene is alive and well in Saskatchewan! We are incredibly thankful to Fr. Ron Roheiser, OMI, for continuing to share his gifts with us here in Saskatoon, as he had done for over **** years at Queen’s House of Retreats before its closure. St. Philip Neri Parish is honoured to continue this tradition.
You Did It For Me: The Call to Mission Animated by Hospitality, the St. Philip Neri Parish Summer Festival of Faith, takes place in Saskatoon July 8-14. Registration is now open! Read below for details, links to follow for updates, and downloadable, shareable promotional material!
We eagerly welcome all who wish to attend one or more cost-free sessions during the festival. This year we welcome, as our featured presenters, our very own beloved Fr. Ron Rolheiser, OMI, as well as Eric A. Clayton, an award-winning author, storyteller, retreat leader, and the deputy director of communications for the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the USA.
The festival begins with an Opening Mass on July 8th with Bishop Mark Hagemoen presiding. It also includes dynamic sessions with Deb Rolfes, Fr. Kevin McGee, Sr. Cindy Lewans, PM, engaging music celebrations including Taize Prayer with St. Philip Neri Music Ministry, and the incredible musical talent of Matthew Praksas and Wagner Barbosa in a classical music concert followed by a wine and cheese. There will be opportunities for community building throughout the festival.
This year we request that all participants register for sessions prior to July 6th.
