News from Galilee Renewal Centre

Over the past few months, the Board and supporters at Galilee Renewal Centre have been focused on renewing themselves. 2016 will start with a full complement in place in terms of spiritual direction and leadership.

Last September many will remember that Fr. Richard Kelly, OMI, joined Galilee as their Spiritual Animator. Very familiar with Galilee and its breadth of community support, Fr. Richard’s responsibilities include program development and promotion.

In December, the Board at Galilee completed their search for a new Executive Director for the Renewal Centre. After careful discernment, the position was offered to Michelle Reis-Amores. As expressed by Barbara O’Connor, President of the Board, “We feel that offering the position to Michelle is a good investment in the future of Galilee and we are confident that she will provide the kind of leadership and vision that we need at this time, working alongside our spiritual animator, Fr. Richard Kelly.”

Michelle accepted the offer and has taken up her position in Arnprior. Once again in Barbara’s words, “she has a good amount of experience in management, including human resources in the not-for-profit sector, and understanding of fundraising and grant application, and a sincere desire to carry on and extend the mission of Galilee.” Ontario District welcomes you to Galilee, Michelle, and wishes you the very best!
