Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group
Week 7
February 16, 2022
As a community, we pray for:
From David and Karen Sax:
– for our son-in-law Mark who is recuperating from Covid with migraine headaches.
– for our daughter Elizabeth who is dealing with affect effects of what she first assumed was a mild case of Covid, but now has painful autoimmune joint aches.
– With continuing prayers for dear Remi De Roo, Fr. Tony & Fr. Syl, now all fully in God’s embrace,
We continue to pray for:
Randy Friedt, Dan’ Friedt’s brother who had surgery on February 15th in Saskatoon. (Dan and Joanne Friedt, Associates)
Barry Walz and his family, Brenda Friedt’s brother who resumed his chemotherapy treatment on February 14th, after 10 years. He hopes to be healthy this summer for his youngest daughter’s wedding. (Dan and Joanne Friedt Associates)
All our beloved Oblates and Associates who are ill with Covid.
The sick and ill among us, for God’s healing and strength.
Deacon Rennie, Associate, for healing.
The generous ‘Yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.
And we join with the Congregation in praying for the 37th General chapter:
Prayer for the 37th General Chapter
Pilgrims of Hope in Communion
God of Infinite Goodness,
We thank you for all the blessings, poured out upon our Congregation
and our extended Oblate family.
As we approach our General Chapter, we call for a fresh
outpouring of your Holy Spirit.
We are grateful to you for our charism gifted to us through our
Founder, St. Eugene, and kept alive through the dedicated lives of all
who live that charism with creative fidelity and apostolic zeal.
On this pilgrimage of hope, set our hearts on fire and give us new life to
carry out our mission, strengthen our resolve to be in communion with
you, with one another and with our broken world.
In our service to the poor and suffering, grant us a renewal of our lives
and a greater commitment and dedication to our mission.
We offer this prayer, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and through the
intercession of Mary Immaculate, St. Eugene and our Blessed Oblates.
Amen.
