Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

Week 14
April 6, 2022

As a community, we pray for:

Allison Laughren, friend of Andréa Ledding and relative of Corrine Pambrun, who died suddenly and unexpectedly on March 27, and for her family, particularly her children Emma and Ethan, who are both very vulnerable.

Andréa also needs prayer so that she tests negative for covid (was beside someone on the weekend who tested positive) as she really wants to be with Allison’s daughter Emma and the family to support them at the funeral and beyond.

Dale Heidt, Corrine Pambrun’s brother, who is very ill.

Oblates Dennis Alexander and Jim Dukowski who are both being treated for cancer.

We continue to remember in prayer:

Oblates Phil Smith, Ron Dechant and Terry Conway.

Maureen Pinsonneault, HOMI, who is in palliative care.

Eleanor Rabnett’s sister, Mary Cooke, who continues to receive hospital care. Please pray for Eleanor’s family as well.

Ashley, whose mental and emotional health issues seriously affect her life.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

We pray for all our brothers and sisters in need, and for their caregivers, families and friends.

Pope Francis released his prayer intention for the month of April, asking Christians to pray for health care workers and urging governments to prioritize making good healthcare accessible to all.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
