Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group
Week 15
April 13, 2022
As a community, we continue to remember in prayer:
Rita Balachandran, an associate from Salt Spring Island, BC, recovering after a serious fall and her family attending to her care.
The family of Allison Laughren, friend of Andrea Ledding and relative of Corrine Pambrun, as they grieve Allison’s death.
Our Oblates Phil Smith, Ron Dechant, Terry Conway, Dennis Alexander and Jim Dukowski, as they deal with medical issues.
Maureen Pinsonneault, H. OMI, who is in palliative care.
Eleanor Rabnett’s sister, Mary Cooke, and her husband as they investigate support for her and her husband with her dementia.
Corrine Pambrun’s brother Dale Heidt, who is very ill.
Ashley, whose mental and emotional health issues seriously affect her life.
The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.
We pray for all our brothers and sisters in need, and for their caregivers, families, and friends.
Pope Francis released his prayer intention for the month of April, asking Christians to pray for health care workers and urging governments to prioritize making good healthcare accessible to all.
We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine
God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
