‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

Week 16
April 19, 2022

As a community, we pray

Gil Mason, OMI – Fr. Gil had a serious fall caused by a stroke, and after examination, it was discovered that he has advanced cancer. He is in palliative care at Civic Hospital in Ottawa. Please pray for Fr. Gil and his brother Oblates at Springhurst.

Ken Haggarty, whose funeral will be on Tuesday, April 26. Ken is the brother of Fr. Robert Haggarty, OMI (Lillooet, BC).

We continue to remember in prayer:

Our Oblates Phil Smith, Ron Dechant, Terry Conway, Dennis Alexander and Jim Dukowski, as they deal with medical issues.

Oblate associate Rita Balachandran from Salt Spring Island, BC, recovering after a serious fall.

Maureen Pinsonneault, H. OMI, who is in palliative care.

Eleanor Rabnett’s sister, Mary Cooke, and her husband as they investigate support for her and her husband with her dementia.

Ashley, whose mental and emotional health issues seriously affect her life.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

We pray for all our brothers and sisters in need, and for their caregivers, families, and friends.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
