Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

Week 19
May 11, 2022

As a community, we pray for:

Otto Rollheiser, OMI, who died May 9th in Vancouver. May he rest in peace.

In May 2022, we join the Holy Father in prayer for faith-filled young people. We pray for all young people, called to live life to the fullest; may they see in Mary’s Life the way to listen, the depth of discernment, the courage that faith generates, and the dedication to service. We pray for all members of our Oblate community who work with young people. May they be examples of faith, support, encouragement, and wisdom.

We continue to remember in prayer:

Frs. Bill Stang and Ken Forster, who left for Kenya on May 9th, to participate in the 25th anniversary celebration of the Kenyan Mission. We remember all our Oblates who have generously served building up the mission. As they celebrate the 25th anniversary, we pray for the priests who are ministering there, those in formation, and the people who they serve.

All those in our families and community who are living with illness of any kind. We remember Oblates Edmond Paradis, Phil Smith, Ron Dechant, Terry Conway, Dennis Alexander and Jim Dukowski, as they deal with medical issues.

Maureen Pinsonneault, HOMI, who is in palliative care.

Eleanor Rabnett’s sister, Mary Cooke, and her husband as they investigate support for her and her husband with her dementia.

Ashley, whose mental and emotional health issues seriously affect her life.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

We pray for all our brothers and sisters in need, and for their caregivers, families, and friends.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
