‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

As a community, we pray for:

Recently deceased members of our community. We pray for Fr. Phil Smith, who died on July 26. Fr. Phil’s funeral will be on August 11, at St. Augustine Church in Vancouver. And for Fr. Jim Dukowski who died on July 31. Funeral arrangements for Fr. Jim are pending. Both were members of the BC district community. God grant them eternal peace. We also remember their families, friends, and brother Oblates and associates in our prayers as well.

Fr. Paul Fachet (Saskatchewan District) who had been hospitalized but is now recovering at his home at Trinity Manor (Saskatoon).

We continue to remember in prayer:

Christopher, a 3-year-old who is seriously ill in Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.

Ashley and Micah, who struggle with personal issues.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

We pray those in our families and community who are living with illness of any kind, for all our brothers and sisters in need, and for their caregivers, families, and friends.

We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.
