Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

Week 46
November 16, 2022

As a community, we pray for:

Lord, look upon all these loved ones with eyes of mercy.
Rest your healing hand upon them,
that your life-giving powers flow into every cell of their bodies
and into the depths of their souls, cleansing, purifying,
and restoring them to wholeness and strength. Amen.

There are no new prayer requests for this week.

We continue to pray for:

Members of our community, family and friends who are dealing with health issues. We remember: Fr. Roy Boucher, Fr. Paul Fachet, Benjamin (who has cystic fibrosis) and his family, Lil Cook, Fr. Bernard Pinet, Fr. Jean-Paul Isabelle, Br. Henri Bisson, Ethan and family, Bella, Tom, Rosie Paner, Tanya Boyle, and Colleen O.

Ashley and Micah, who struggle with personal issues.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

Prayer for the 37th General Chapter
Pilgrims of Hope in Communion

God of Infinite Goodness,
We thank you for all the blessings, poured out upon our Congregation and our extended Oblate family. As we approach our General Chapter, we call for a fresh outpouring of your Holy Spirit.

We are grateful to you for our charism gifted to us through our Founder, St. Eugene, and kept alive through the dedicated lives of all who live that charism with creative fidelity and apostolic zeal.

On this pilgrimage of hope, set our hearts on fire and give us new life to carry out our mission, strengthen our resolve to be in communion with you, with one another and with our broken world.

In our service to the poor and suffering, grant us a renewal of our lives and a greater commitment and dedication to our mission.

We offer this prayer, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, St. Eugene and our Blessed Oblates. Amen.

We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
