Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group
Week 50
December 14, 2022
As a community, we pray for:
There are no specific prayer requests this week.
“We thank God for the abundance of life, relationships, health, comfort, and wealth you have provided, and thank you that even in times of need, despair, and brokenness, you are there. Please, put your arms around children and families in extreme poverty, so they feel comfort and hope; meet their needs both physically and spiritually. And, Lord, guide me so I can be your hands and feet pursuing justice for the poor and upholding the cause of the needy. (Prayer from World Vision)
We continue to pray for:
For all those in our community and families who are ill, and for those who care for their needs: Edmond Paradis, Roy Boucher, 5-year-old Rylee, and her family, as she battles leukaemia, Lil Cook, Ethan and family, Bella, Tom, Rosie Paner, Tanya Boyle, and Colleen O.
For Andrea and her journey to recovery from drug addictions.
Ashley and Micah, who struggle with personal issues.
The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.
We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.
We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.
God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
