As a community, we pray for: 

Roy Boucher, OMI, who died in Arnprior on May 26. We lift Roy up in prayer as we remember his life, his ministry, his service to the Oblate community, and the impact he had on those around him. Bring comfort and peace to those who mourn his loss, and may they find hope in your loving presence and the promise of eternal life.

Fr. Roy’s funeral arrangements are following – Friday, June 2, 2023: St. John Chrysostom Parish, Arnprior, 5:30 PM – Reception of the Body and viewing until 7:30 PM, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM Vigil Service; Saturday, June 3, 2023: St. Joseph’s Parish, Ottawa, 8:30 AM Reception of Body at the Church, 9:30 AM Viewing, 11 AM – Funeral Service, followed by reception. Interment at on June 5th at 1:00 PM at St. Theresa’s Cemetery, Arnprior, ON (Galilee)

Archbishop Adam Exner, OMI, who is in hospital after suffering a bad fall. He was also diagnosed as having pneumonia and very low hemoglobin. As we pray for Archbishop Adam’s health and well-being, we also pray for the medical staff caring for him, as well as Debbie, his caregiver, and the members of Adam’s family.

Margaret Holden, mother of Cathy Holden/Greg Saretsky (Br. Anthony District) who is now in hospice care. Comfort all of them, and welcome Margaret into eternal life.

We continue to pray for: 

All those in our community and families who are ill and have asked for our prayers. We pray for those who love them, and those who care for their needs.

Karine, who was just diagnosed with breast cancer.

Bridget, only 8 years old and in very poor health.

The OMI Lacombe Canada leadership team and all the participants in the current discernment process. We pray that the Holy Spirit may guide the way forward through a profound listening and learning in wisdom, mission, and hope.

Micah, granddaughter of Colleen Kerr, who is in a treatment program. We pray for Micah’s family as well. They are so grateful for the on-going prayers and support.

Trayton, who suffers from depression.

Billy who has a bile duct blockage and will undergo tests to identify its source.

Matt S who is having heart issues and will have surgery soon.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

 

  We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
