Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

Week 27
June 28, 2023

As a community, we pray for:

Reigan LeStrat who is struggling with cancer. Reigan is the wife of Marlon, nephew of Fr. Gerry LeStrat, OMI.

Gerry Gruber, nephew of Fr. George Gruber, OMI, attended St. Thomas College. Gerry is receiving palliative home care. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2021. We pray for Gerry, his wife Laurie, and all those who love him.

In gratitude for the life of Fr. Roy Boucher, OMI, and for all those who were touched by their relationship with him. Roy’s friends and neighbours will gather on Saturday, July 15, at 2 pm, at Galilee Centre, in Arnprior, a place dear to Fr. Roy’s heart. If you can’t attend in person and would like to share brief personal reminiscences about Fr. Roy, or if you want more information about this special event, please contact Arnie Francis at arnefran@yahoo.ca or galileecentre.com, 613-623-4242

Rob Meilleur, Chief Administrative Officer for OMI Lacombe Canada, who underwent surgery last Friday.

Don Claerhout, OMI who is experiencing some health issues.

Paul Fachet, OMI, Ron Zimmer, OMI, Jerry Prazma, OMI, Jerome Blackburn, OMI and all our elders as they experience the challenges of aging and infirmity.

Albert S. who has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and his family: that he be granted strength for the treatments ahead.

We continue to pray for:

All those in our community and families who have asked for our prayers. We pray for those who love them, and those who care for their needs.

P & J, for healing and peace in their family.

For all the new graduates in our families as the school year comes to an end. May God grant them clarity as they discern their future paths.

Margaret Holden, mother of Cathy Holden/Greg Saretsky (Br. Anthony District) who is in hospice care. Comfort all of them, and welcome Margaret into eternal life.

Micah, as she continues her journey of healing. We pray for Micah’s family as well.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
