Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

Week 29
July 12, 2023

As a community, we pray for:

The Galilee BOC as it coordinates the memorial for Fr. Roy Boucher, OMI on July 15. We pray for those who will welcome, host, and serve the attendees, and for all those attendees as they honour the memory of dear Fr. Roy.

Corrine Pambrun, from Saskatchewan District who will be having hip replacement surgery tomorrow.

Healing for VCB after her stroke.

CV as she struggles with mental and physical illness.

We continue to pray for:

All those in our community and families who have asked for our prayers. We pray for those who love them, and those who care for their needs.

Reigan LeStrat who is struggling with cancer. Reigan is the wife of Marlon, nephew of Fr. Gerry LeStrat, OMI.

Gerry Gruber, long-time friend of the Oblates (nephew of Fr. George Gruber, OMI) who has a brain tumour.

Ron Rolheiser, OMI who will be undergoing cancer surgery in August.

Denzle, son of Betty Ann Laporte, who is struggling with severe nerve and joint issues.

Albert S. who has been diagnosed with cancer, and his family: that he be granted strength for the treatments ahead.

Margaret Holden, mother of Cathy Holden/Greg Saretsky (Br. Anthony District) who is in hospice care. Comfort all of them, and welcome Margaret into eternal life.

Micah, as she continues her journey of healing. We pray for Micah’s family as well.

All our family and community members as they experience the challenges of aging and infirmity.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
