Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group
Week 34
August 16, 2023
As a community, we pray for:
The repose of the soul of Gerry Gruber who died this past week. Gerry was the nephew of Fr. George Gruber, OMI (SK District Community) and a lifelong friend of the Oblate family. Gerry attended St. Thomas College in N. Battleford and was part of the music ministry led by Wendelin Rolheiser, OMI in the early 70s. May the blessings of peace and consolation fill his wife Laurie, their children and all those who mourn his loss. May he rest in peace, singing and playing in the heavenly choir.
Ron Rolheiser, OMI, who is undergoing cancer surgery in Houston TX today.
Eleanor, who will be having medical testing in the coming weeks.
Stephanie, who has breast cancer.
We continue to pray for:
All those in our community and families who have asked for our prayers. We pray for those who love them, and those who care for their needs.
Gilles Gauthier, OMI, Claude Tardif, OMI, David Munoz, OMI who are experiencing health issues. For healing and peace.
Micah, as she continues her journey of healing. We pray for Micah’s family as well.
All our family and community members as they experience the challenges of aging and infirmity.
The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.
We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.
We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.
God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
