Prayer Corner
‘At the foot of the Cross:’ Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group

Week 39
September 20, 2023

As a community, we pray for:

Elise who will be undergoing hernia surgery on September 25, and her husband John, who is recovering from a serious back injury. For quick healing, grace and peace to manage their family life with four school-aged children, during their recovery.

Leonardo Rego, OMI, who is in the Heart Institute in Ottawa awaiting the surgery to implant a pacemaker. We remember the surgeons and all the Heart Institute staff who are caring for Leonardo, as well as his community at Springhurst Residence.

Archbishop Adam Exner, OMI whose funeral will be on Wednesday, September 20, at 10:00am, in Grayson SK. The funeral will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/yourfamilylikeapartofours/videos

All those who are affected by the news of the closure of Galilee Retreat Center, and Queen’s House of Retreat and Renewal. Give them the strength and courage to persevere when times are difficult.

We continue to pray for:

All those in our community and families who have asked for our prayers. We pray for those who love them, and those who care for their needs.

Gilles Gauthier, OMI. Fr. Gilles who is receiving end of life care. We pray that this final stage of his journey will be peaceful, and grace filled.

Jim G. who is suffering from clinical depression and is hospitalized, and for all those who love him.

Micah, as she continues her journey of healing. We pray for Micah’s family as well.

All our family and community members as they experience the challenges of aging and infirmity.

The generous ‘yes’ of men to an Oblate life and of men and women to Oblate Association.

We continue to pray for our Metis, Inuit and First Nations brothers and sisters.

We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine.

God of реасе and justice,
we pray for the реорІе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реасе and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for аІІ those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аІІ, we pray for аІІ your precious children, at-risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.
Amen.
