Prayer Corner: ‘At the foot of the Cross’
Saint Eugene’s Prayer Group
Members of the Saint Eugene Prayer Group commit to offering these intentions daily in their own manner of prayer. All members of OMI Lacombe Canada are highly encouraged to actively pray for the requested intentions.
Week 13
March 31, 2025
As a community, we pray
- For Don in Windsor who is in much pain due to cancer. We pray that the Lord will soothe Don’s suffering and strengthens Margaret as she courageously cares for him.
- For Sebastian from Kelowna who is undergoing multiple, difficult surgeries for a painfully shattered knee. We pray for this young man’s speedy healing and for the Lord’s whisper of comfort in his ear as Sebastian heals and recovers.
- In praise and thanksgiving, for the ordination of David Ojiambo, Charles Okeyo, and Stephen Wekesa of the Kenya Mission. We pray that the Lord will bless and protect David, Charles and Stephen as they take this important step in their faith journey.
- For Charlene Patriquin, in very serious condition in the Calgary Foothills Hospital, recovering from the house fire that took her husband Mark’s life and their family home. We pray for Charlene’s healing and recovery, for the repose of Mark, and for her family as they grapple with this tragedy in their lives. May the Lord comfort and console them.
Pope Francis’ Prayer Intention for April
Let us pray that the use of new technologies will not replace human relationships, will respect the dignity of the person, and will help us face the crises of our times.
A Prayer of Healing
O! Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, we ask for your intercession as the voice of the first peoples’ of our common homeland to help us protect our ecology, to care for Creation and to support each other in gratitude.
We pray that we, whether Indigenous or non-Indigenous, may draw from the example of your short faith-filled life, a profound hope in the Resurrection. May we strive for an authentic relationship of mutual respect, friendship and joy, as brothers and sisters, on a path of healing and reconciliation.
May your prayer ever be our prayer: “Jesos Konoronkwa”, Jesus, I love you.
