Symposium on the Synod on the Amazon at St. Paul University

Cardinal Pedro Barreto SJ, of Huancayo, Peru and co-president of the October 2019 Synod on the Amazon: New Paths for the Church and for an Integral Ecology, recounts the meaning and novelty of this impressive event.  This talk was given on November 12, 2019 at St. Paul University, Ottawa.

At the Symposium on the Synod on the Amazon, November 12, 2019, a panel of three respondents recounted how the Synod will impact the church in Canada.  Cardinal Barreto and the respondents then took questions from the audience.  The Symposium was organized by the Centre Oblate, Development and Peace – Caritas Canada and St. Paul University.
